Tandy R. Tipps
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS
Tandy has earned a global reputation as an astute, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of team building and partnership formation that exemplifies excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills. As Inteliquet’s SVP of HCO Solutions, she provides strategic oversight for all business development, delivery, and operational aspects as she shepherds cancer center relationships. Tandy develops and leads all strategies and tactics associated with expanding and retaining our cancer consortium while supporting a robust understanding of the cancer center needs and translating this knowledge into action for all support teams.
Prior to Inteliquet, Tandy served as Vice President, Oncology Site Network at Precision for Medicine, where she led the development, implementation, and oversight of Precision’s Global Oncology Site Network. She ensured outstanding client relations and project delivery while developing and fostering relationships with sites, KOLs and sponsors as well as providing leadership at the operational level.
Tandy was also Department Administrator for Investigational Cancer Therapeutics at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she led oversight of The Department of Investigational Cancer Therapeutics (ICT), the world’s largest and most prestigious Phase 1 Clinical Trials Program for Cancer Research and Treatment. Prior to her work at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Tandy served as the Global Head Clinical Affairs/QA, at PAREXEL International, where she successfully led global teams to implementation and execution of Phase I-IV clinical trials and subsequent implementation and execution of multi-therapeutic Phase III registration trials.
As Senior Director of Global Clinical Operations and Program Management at Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals, Tandy was responsible for the oversight, expansion and development of global portfolio and project management, data management and clinical operations, including clinical trial strategy, clinical performance improvement, patient safety accountability, budget forecasting and management and achievement of operational R&D goals.
Prior to that, Tandy served as Senior Director of Global Quality Assurance at Medimmune, where she provided leadership for global staff that developed and delivered global training to Phase I-IV to all employees that developed, managed, and led clinical trials. Tandy worked cross-functionally to develop and write clinical trial design strategies, study protocols, study protocol amendments and development and submission of study start up regulatory packages. Tandy also managed a multi-million-dollar budget as Chief Operating Officer at TX Finder, where she successfully led a team to implementation and execution of CNS (bi-polar and dementia) Phase III registration trials and Phase I CNS genomics trials and subsequent trial deliverables.
In 1999, Tandy became the Executive Director of Welfare to Work Programs with the Goodwill Industries of Greater New York, where she developed, implemented and oversaw the first Welfare to Work Program for people with disabilities, as well as the non-disabled, in the U.S. She worked extensively with Federal, State, local governmental and non-profit entities to develop standardized operating procedures, guidelines and policies, as well as budget negotiations.
Early in her career, Tandy was a Consultant at Tipps for Solutions in Dallas, TX and New York, NY. She worked extensively with various pharmaceutical, biotechnology companies, CRO’s and SMO’s to ensure execution of clinical research, clinical strategy development, quality assurance, and achievement of operational R&D across Phases I-IV and various therapeutic indications. Tandy successfully led global teams to implementation and execution of Phase I-IV clinical trials and the subsequent implementation and execution of multi-therapeutic Phase III registration trials. She began her career in 1988 as Senior Vice President at National Medical Enterprises, where she developed, implemented, and oversaw CNS Phase I unit initiatives.
Tandy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education from the University of North Texas. She additionally holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she also earned a Ph.D. in Public Administration.
